Whippets were originally bred from greyhounds and terriers. They are a beautiful sleek dog from England. The Whippets life expectancy is about 12-15 years.

Whippets stand about 18-22 inches tall and they weigh between 20-40 pounds. Males are slightly larger than females.

They are great with children, but they are a fragile dog and should not be rough-housed with. They have a very sweet and gentle nature. Whippets are great for people with allergies because they have very low shedding. They are very easy to train because they absolute love to please their owners.
